...I'll be shoveling.
Won't be using the basement steps for a while |
Yes, I do believe we had a few flurries...
Such a pretty scene |
By the way, any reader is may use these images for free. I'm not sure why you would, but they could help the authorities locate me when I don't show up after a few days. I'll probably still be outside shoveling, singing while I work to my version of a song Hank Snow* recorded many years ago.
There's a salt-splattered snowplow driving somewhereLooks like it'll take me a while to get a handle on things. Pun intended.
On a distant street so many miles away
Only those with lawn chairs get to park there**
Where I wished that I could also live someday...
* Hank Snow was Canadian, so he would know about snow. Maybe that's how he got his name. The song is "There's A Star Spangled Banner Waving Somewhere"
**It's a Baltimore thing

Wow! That is an impressive amount of snow! It reminds me of a winter in New Brunswick when my dad had to climb out a back window swim through the snow to the front door to shovel us out. We needed out, you see, because we kept wood for the fire in the detached garage. Needless to say, we kids loved it because no way were school buses getting through. Not sure the grownups were as appreciative.
ReplyDeleteStay warm; stay safe. And have fun!
We get one of these storms every few years in the Mid -Atlantic states. Fortunately, the temperatures are a bit higher than the usual for New Brunswick this time of year!
DeleteThe sun looks gorgeous on the snow!
ReplyDeleteHappy winter shoveling day. :D
After four days, I think it is finally over. Got my mother dug out last night with the help of one of her neighbors. And I shouldn't complain too much - I need the exercise!
