FSF Challenge - Fresh

Five Sentence Fiction badge from Lillie McFerrin Writes

This week's writing challenge
from
Five Sentence Fiction
Lillie McFerrin Writes )
is based upon the prompt:

Fresh

What it’s all about: Five Sentence Fiction is about packing a powerful punch in a tiny fist. Each week Lillie will post a one word inspiration, then anyone wishing to participate will write a five sentence story based on the prompt word. The word does not have to appear in your five sentences, just use it for direction.

It's been a while since I've done a poem...

Clearing Thoughts

FSF prompt image: http://lilliemcferrin.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/IMG_5606-1024x768.jpg

Rain passes;
Rocks glisten,
Dappled in sunlight.

Leaves twirl;
Winds rush
Across my face.

Clouds race;
Vapors entwine
Misty cotton jets.

Shadows fade;
Colors change
From gray to blue.

Rainbows sparkle;
Earth awakens,
Stretching to the horizon.

I'm not exactly sure you'd call these sentences, but that's the way it is! And there are five of them!

    1. Thanks! The picture was as much of an inspiration as the prompt this week.

  2. These lines speak out for the photograph....beautiful. That's what I feel :) Doesn't matter if they are sentences or not as long as they are creative :)

    1. Thanks for commenting! I have to mix it up now and then, and it's been too long since I posted a poem.

    1. Why, thank you! I have to say, I'm a bit surprised (pleasantly) at the response this little poem has received!

  5. I like this a lot.
    I reread it again and again trying to decide which was my favourite stanza, then I realized I don't have to... I can just enjoy it whole.

    1. A writer cannot ask for anything more than to create something that people wish to read more than once. Thanks!
