It's getting cold around the area and some ice and snow storms are on the way, so I thought I'd try to bring a little summer back with my blog, maybe warm things up a bit.
Just a couple of Canadian geese swimming on a pond, looking for something to eat on a lazy summer day...
Update: I found another picture I thought I'd throw out here, too...
He's just doing a goosestep down the road...

It sure did warm me up and reminded me of the past summer (which now seems like years away) as I rode my bike to the park with a picnic hamper and had some great barbecues on the grass with friends, sharing wine amongst ourselves.
ReplyDeleteOne of the interesting parts about having comments to a post is that I get to learn things that I probably never would without the blog. Like the term "picnic hamper." In my part of America, if someone mentions a hamper, the only usage would be as a laundry hamper. We have picnic baskets. Same things, really, I file these little items away in the event I write a story taking place in England or Canada and want to make it a bit more realistic. I have been educated again!
DeleteAnd thanks for taking the time to read my little blog and commenting!
